CHEM10004 lecture recordings

Hey guys, received this news on my LMS earlier this week

Physical Chemistry (Assoc. Prof. Smith and Assoc. Prof. Gee) that they intend to turn the lecture recording off at the start of the lecture. Consequently, no lecture recordings will be available for weeks 5-8.

Was this the same last year? if not, can anybody share with me the lecture recordings!

Trevor Smith is so frustrating, he turns off recordings for every subject he's involved with, but he's an appallingly bad lecturer. When some unwell people last year complained on the discussion forum, because the subject is listed as recorded with no note of Trevor's intention to turn off recordings, he simply stopped responding to emails and posts completely. :y

On the plus side, physical chemistry is the sort of thing you can probably learn well from a textbook and/or lecture slides with enough repetition and practice. I personally found, for Chemistry 2, that the textbook was far more useful than the lectures for quantum chemistry (but there's one slide in the lectures about applications not found in the textbook, so you should attend that lecture).
VCE: Chemistry | Biology (2011) | English (2011) | Environmental Science | Mathematical Methods CAS

2013-2015: BSc [Zoology] @ UoM | DLang [German - DISCONTINUED]
2016: GDSc [Botany] @ UoM
2017-2018: MSc [Biosciences - Zoology] @ UoM

Summer: BOTA30006

S1: BOTA20001 | EVSC20004 | BOTA30003 | BIOL90001

S2: GEOG20009 | BOTA30002 | BOTA30005 | EVSC20003 | NRMT90002

Subject and major reviews incoming :)

Last year Chem 2 recordings were a pain in the ass.
Quantum chemistry + Kinetics (4 weeks worth in total) were not recorded. Quantum you pretty much had to learn off the textbook while kinetics (notes were good) but good to consolidate with the textbook as well.

Haven't checked the link but last year for those lectures, even though a lecture recording was up it was just like 45 seconds long with the main overview of those lectures hahaha >_>
BSc (2015), MD1 (2016)
Tutoring in 2016: http://www.tutorfinder.com.au/tutors/detail.php?TutorID=78301
Chuck a PM if interested :)

Available for tutoring on the summer holidays for university subjects or VCe.
Also tutoring for the Melbourne uni MMIs (medical/physiotherapy interviews)

Please don't PM me for lecture slides or recordings. I don't have them anymore.

Yeah looks like about 17 out of 36 lectures weren't recorded in the 2013 stream.
Poster above is correct, it will be the same this year too.

It has definitely improved though, the 2012 stream recorded something like 6 lectures.

2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.
