Ways to minimize stress?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong board, but I'm (and I suspect, a lot of people here) am seriously struggling with stress; like, to the point where I can't study because of it.

Thought it might be helpful if we shared a few tips for coping with it?
2013 : Philosophy (31) | VCE VET Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) (31)

2014 : Food Tech (40) | Accounting (35) | Art (39) | Visual Communication Design (40) | English (38) [hopefully!!]

Honestly for me it's easier just to go one day at a time. Just think hey today I'm going to study a bit and it it'll bring me a step closer to improving myself and being happy by the time exams come around. If you try and take everything all at once and think OMG EXAMS VCE PANIC it's just going to stress you out and make you lose concentration. Hope that helps! Oh and also just think about the thousands of other VCE kids in exactly the same boat and that you're not alone :)

Do something that will take your mind away from VCE/exams.
Sports, going out, watching a movie etc.

Go out for a jog. That always clears my head, and it leaves me feeling good for the rest of the day.

Take regular breaks, and put this all into perspective. (it's not the end of the world!)

 You'll be fine!

Some ways to help with stress include:

- Extracurricular activities- hobbies, going out with friends, going for a walk/jogging
- Eating well/ nutritious food
- Making sure you get enough sleep
- Keeping things simple/ focusing on activity at a time.

Most of this information I got is from this article, http://www.studymyway.com/study-resources/how-to-cope-with-stress-pressure/.

I hope that helps.

The best way to not stress is to actually not think about the fact that exams are in like X days. It would be so ironic if I actually replaced X with the actual number of days left.

Just do your best and it'll all hopefully work out. Once you've done your best, you know that there's nothing more that you possibly could have done! Good luck
