Can you bring a magnifying glass into physics exam?

I find it very wrong that people with glasses have the advantage of magnifying writing and images ( I mean I don't find it extremely wrong but its still an advantage, kinda). So can everyone bring a magnifying glass into the exam in order to fit more on your cheat sheet?

Physics

one scientific calculator
one folded A3 sheet or two A4 sheets, bound together by tape, and single- or double-sided. Notes may be typed or handwritten, and from any source (including commercially available notes)

Students sitting for the GAT and any VCE written examination are permitted to bring basic stationery items into the examination. This includes pens, pencils, highlighters, erasers, sharpeners and rulers. Pencil cases can only be brought into the examination room if they are transparent, i.e. the contents are visible to the supervisor.

Basic stationery items do not include aids for curve sketching, Mathomat, MathAids or geometrical drawing instruments such as compasses, set squares and protractors.

Correction liquid/tape and loose sheets of paper are not permitted in the GAT or VCE written examinations.

Well... it doesn't say you CAN'T bring one. I don't see why they'd refuse it either because it doesn't give you any extra information so you could try if you really wanted to LOL
(but they probably wouldn't allow it)

Just saying but people who do have glasses actually need them to see and without them, they're totally blind... also even with glasses, there isn't any advantage whatsoever in terms of how much they can see compared to someone who has 20/20 vision.

Rather than worry about how much you can fit onto your cheat sheet, be productive with your time and get help with any problems you currently have in Physics since if you need to cram a lot onto your cheat sheet then there's a possibility you might have a few concerns here and there.. hope that helps :)

I very highly doubt it.

Also highly doubt that glasses really make a difference either...

haha, that's a great question

I don't know, but you could always buy magnifying glasses if you wanted to. That way you could still act perfectly normal and nobody would suspect you're using them to see your cheat sheet, but I dunno I guess it would be kind of cool bringing a magnifying glass in like a detective

or you could be a gentlemen and get a monocle! that would be awesome

you could be just like this gentlemen here: http://www.cursesfoiled.co.uk/ye_olde_ben.jpg

I think what OP is saying is that people with glasses can put the lens against the paper for a bit of magnification.

Yeah it really doesn't work like that, whether you are long sighted or short sighted, the amount of magnification is minimal, in fact looking through my dads magnifying glasses right now only makes everything like 0.01mm bigger. It's hardly noticeable.

Anyway if you have to fit so much on your cheat sheet that you need a magnifying glass to see it, it means you aren't prepared for this topic. A double sided a3 sheet is plenty for all the formulas and notes you need with room to add extra.
