Why did you start learning a musical instrument?
chanlt94:
My dad took organ when he was younger, so when I was young he made me take electone. Switched to piano when I was 9. And then when I was 11, my school started violin classes, so I picked up violin then. Continued with the orchestra in secondary school.
I'm still playing both instruments. =) I think I want to pick up clarinet when I grow older....the timbre is just so fascinating! :D
aes_999:
Cause parents said so. They want me to do violin, but violin places already filled. So they said, take up flute. Good choice, grade 5 flute now. I still play it.

I wanted to learn piano because my mum bought me a mini piano (40 cm in length) and I didnt know how to play any nursery rhymes. I wanted to learn how to play 'Twinkle Twinkle little star' (I was only 6 years old) the most, so my mum organised piano lessons.
The first day of the music lesson (i didnt know big pianos existed) so I carried my 40cm in length piano with me to school, for the piano lesson. My piano teacher laughed and said I could have a go at the big piano then.
Since then I have never looked back. Finish 3/4 Music Solo Performance last year:)
