Worthwhile to read/complete Chem+Bio over holidays?

Hey guys, as the title reads do you think it would be beneficial to complete the content beforehand or wait to cover it during classes? (This is unit 1&2). Opinions would be appreciated.

What about 3/4?

for unit 1/2, don't think you need to pre-learn stuff :P Most of the stuff is probs introductory :D

for unit 3/4, it depends on the subject, and your abilities etc. eg. Do you think it's possible to learn it yourself? Do you have the motivation to do so? Do you think they'll be enough time etc etc . Might be boring/painful trying to self learn chem/bio by just reading the textbook... 

but if you enjoy learning these subjects, by all means go ahead :)
