what I did was make notes for the stuff I was unsure about/had trouble remembering, so basically what I felt were harder parts of the course.
I think making notes is a pretty good way to study, sort of reconsolidates info etc

If you have time, I suggest making notes throughout the year, that way you'll have a personalised set of notes ready to go when SWOTVAC/revision period comes along. With notes, make sure you don't cram every tiny little detail in/make it a textbook version 2. You're just gonna cbs reading it when it's time to revise. Write down the crucial/essential knowledge (and possibly info you know you'll trip up on/forget).
...but then again, it's not essential :p I know people who made it through the year without any notes...
oh hmm, the typing and writing thing is more of a preference I think. I personally don't feel I get as much out of my notes if I type them (makes it feel less personalised xD...the logic is dodgy, i know... don't ask
