Sorry to hear that.
I don't believe they will considering the circumstances. You might want to get some evidence to support your claim. Hope you feel better soon!! :)

Yeah that would be useful! Just try and show how you will bounce back from this difficult period and i am sure they would be more than happy to support you!

Have a read through this link on Unsatisfactory Academic Progress.

Ultimately, as you satisfy some of the academic progress rules you will be referred to an Academic Progress Committee (APC). You then have an opportunity to 'show cause' as to why you should not be excluded from your course by submitting a written response form and attending a hearing of the APC.

Try not to worry too much, if you have legitimate reasons (as you do - family problems, depression etc.) and are willing to try and remedy the situation and are able to show this, you certainly won't be excluded from the university.

Good luck and be sure to see a Student Rights Officer (SRO) if you're having trouble with anything.

Maybe try and get something to support the fact you were having family issues since you didn't see a counsellor for your depression. Other than that, as i stated earlier try and convince them that you will bounce back and will pass next time around!
