TI Inspire CAS Calculator Question

Hi,

So I've had my TI Inspire CAS Calculator for about a year now and suddenly today it didn't turn on and I had to press the reset button at the back, to get it to finally turn on.

I was wondering if others experience this problem? Is it a big deal, should I get a new one?
I just don't want it to fail me in  SAC or the exam :l

And in case it did, I was wondering would teachers provide you with another one?

Thanks!

I can't answer your technical question, but I know that if it happens in the exam, it's pretty much bad luck. VCAA doesn't have to provide you with a replacement (whether that be batteries, calculator, etc.).

Your school may be more flexible.

Similar thing happened to me in a SAC last year (Unit 1 & 2..phew!)

I was inputting matrices and suddenly, the screen froze. Had to reset it to get it to work again. My school wasn't very lenient either, didn't give me extra time nor a replacement calc.

Hasn't happened since. I guess you just have to ride your luck. It can happen to anyone, at anytime. I don't think you should be worried, just make sure you charge it and take care of it.

If this is the colour calculator, try unscrewing the back and removing the flat rectangular battery. Leave it out for about a minute and replace.
