I was just wanting to know what study techniques you find to be the most beneficial.

I find it differs from subject to subject really. In maths and physics you dont really need many notes, its best to just smash out questions and learn how to apply the formulae to different applications and types of questions. Same applys for English to i guess. Just about smashing out practice essays.

Try to think about your subjects really carefully and avoid procrastinating. I found that doing practice questions and using a whiteboard to explain the concepts learnt to my "pretend class" in my room really helped. Best of luck!

When it came to VCE, firstly having a really deep understanding of the material (personally I found teaching friends and writing summary notes helped me here) followed by loooooots of practice questions and practice exams worked for me. Good luck!

^^ Couldn't agree more. Practice questions really are so important, especially before SACs and the exam. The more you do and the more question types you are exposed to, the less you will fall for potential traps, and the better you will do. NO practice paper done is ever a wasted effort - you can learn something from every one! All the best!

Practice exams constituted the bulk of my learning/revision for exams this year. Reading and working out of textbooks (at least I found) only gave me preliminary knowledge for what I needed to score highly in exams.

I like watching videos on whatever topic I'm doing on websites such as on Education Portal. They go over the basic stuff again and sometimes I'll find little ways to remember certain things from them, like pictures or acronyms. Plus I can waste time whilst still technically studying

for maths,i prefer  watching videos. and for english, simple flashcards
