The simple fact that you are doing questions at this time in the year should be uplifting enough. Whilst I would certainly tell you to relax, enjoy your break and Christmas and that everything will be OK, you should try continue doing what you're doing.

Can someone lift up the spirit and give me a few words please. The problem is I always tend to do every single question in the book, but when I get even one wrong I always feel something at the back of my brain telling me im not good enough, and that specific question WILL pop up on the exam and I wont be able to do it. Its so stressful and I cant help but think about it. Even when I dont get something wrong, I still feel this way, that im not good enough and that all my hard work will not pay off. I dont know, why does this happen :(
Well at least you're making the effort now to get these sort of questions out of the way so when it comes to exam time, you'll be blitzing compared to the rest of the state :)
Just remember that you have plenty of time to rectify anything that you don't understand :)

Alternatively, I've seen that you've been doing lots of Maths questions over these holidays... why not spread the workload around and dedicate time equally towards other subjects too (that way your mind is refreshed and you may see things that you didn't before [on another note, proofs are things that you either get straight away or take time to go through so don't be too disheartened yet] :) )

Thanks for the input, appreciate it

I feel the same way too, but I just say "whatever!" and then forget about it. Most of the time, it's just your mind playing games on you (mine always plays games on me) :).

yeah if i dont get a question is leave it as well, but depends. As long as i know the concepts and can answer 95%+ of the textbook questions im good. you need to remember, the real learning starts when you do practice exams

Back in my day it was so simple. Do textbook questions, do exam questions once textbook is done. Learn from all mistakes and practice to time.

So simple, you guys make it sound so complicated.

People on AN really need to relax. It's not even January yet you're worrying about getting 1 question wrong?

Chill out - there's more to life than school.

Just in case anyone needed reminding, when someone outlines an irrational issue that nags at their mental health, belittling them isn't the appropriate response. Cheers.

At least you understand, and know how to approach situations without negative remarks...
