Maths methods writing notes

ok, so i'm starting methods and general advanced maths this year and i wanted to ask (might sound silly) whether you write the questions from the text book into your exercise book or you just answer them straight away in your exercise book? Would it be a waste of  time writing lengthy worded questions? I tried my best to articulate...

I never wrote down the full question (certainly not for extended response or anything) but I wrote enough so when I flipped through my exercise book for revision, I knew what the question was asking me and the values I was using so I would write down the values given to me in the question and then answering it (if that makes any sense LOL).

Just write enough so that you understand what's going on really I guess

I wrote all my questions in my book. Whether its an essay of a question or a two worded question. Why? Because when I write the question down, I read the question carefully, and I can manipulate the question, in order to solve for what it is asking. I believe that writing it down will give you a more solid knowledge, because after a while you can honestly realise the way they try to trick you!!

This year ( for further and 1 2 math) I just solved the question without writing it down- I found I could go through questions faster and get more exposure to different types and what not. However, I made sure my reference book had at least on example of each different type of question, with the question written down.

Personally I found as long as you know what to do and understand the content, practicing the questions in any way is fine really exposure to different Qs is most important imo.
