haha don't worry too much, although i hope they don't ask you about braces if you tell them that you only got them last week!
would they do that? I don't think that's; fair, for example one couldn't be expected to know how to say "braces" in Japanese, or "orthodontist/appointment/lisp". That would be harsh!

To say braces in Japanese you just say it fobbly. Bure-su.

Katakana ftw.

A-i gotta bure-su atto da o-tadontisutu rasuto ui-kku desu.

lolol. Don't need Japanese skillz in Japan. Speak English Fobbly and they will understand =]

Hey can someone who has done the exam listen to this recording and tell me whether it not mirrors the real thing? I just did a recording with my tutor today that in theory simulates the real exam

http://www.box.net/shared/jcbpy8hiv4 (15 mb file)...maybe I should upload to somewhere that allows streaming

lol it's pretty clear how scripted the general convo is =] I wrote a full script after failing a winged mock oral

2 days to go Dejan~ feeling nervous?

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous :P But I don't think it's hit me to the full extent yet! I'm sure when I'm sitting outside waiting to go in I'll be a nervous wreck haha. You ready?

When I get nervous I just think about how it's worth 12.5%

Is that "how it's ONLY worth 12.5%"? If so, good point you have, I'll try to keep that in mind tomorrow! :)

OMFG YAY ITS ALL OVER 4EVA

I really dunno how I went >_> I think I spoke way too fast off my script, dunno if they could understand me properly. I also didn't get any dodgy questions, which I interpret as a sign that they thought I couldn't hack it >_<

I also got an Indian examiner.

On a completely irrelevant note, I cut my hair shortish before this exam and I miss my longish hair with sides I could chew on and a fringe that blocked my field of vision every 5 seconds.

I had room 1, 1:45. What a pov motel, so vacant that they rent it out for exams. I was kind of pissed that we had to wait outside until 10 minutes before exams, I came like an hour early.

How did you go dejan91?

Ahhk well apparently (was told by some school before us that used up all the rooms) that rooms 5,6,7,8 had the 'nice' assessors. I had room 5, 3:40. Yeah it was ridiculous we had to wait outside the whole BUILDING until 10 or so minutes! Even worse was waiting outside the room with the afternoon sun right on me and no shade. But all in all thought it went well. I had the same (problem?) as you where they didn't ask me any overly difficult questions. I was actually disappointed they didn't... Made a few mistakes, but hey, only natural... Said 会いに見ます instead of 会いに行きます...fooooool! I had a mental block at that moment and it just came out.I'm just glad it's over now!!
