Jap Oral interviews!!
dejan91:
Any recommendations on how much you should say before you let them ask you a question? I'm referring to the discussion section here. 2-3 sentences then pause or a whole paragraph or what?
Oh, in regards to the whole shortening thing... I don't see any problem in saying 自販機 (じはんき) instead of 自動販売機 (じどうはんばいき) from time to time. As long as you explain that it is a shortened form in your intro. Damattore yours was on 自動販売機, so what do you think? What did you do?
sonnypls:
uh you could be like これから自販機と呼びます。Or something, I said the full thing to waste time!
dejan91:
Ahhk. I was intending on just saying in my intro somewhere 自販機は自動販売機のりゃくです。
Then again, I like the sound of this time wasting thing :P

With the orals, i know someone asked before but i was wondering too... when we get in there for our discussion after the converstaion part is done, do we do our one minute intro then they ask us questions ro do we do our intro then keep speaking to start the discussion or what....? lol
sonnypls:
after your intro, they will ask you a question or they'll be like <topic> について話してください。
