I'm meant to go tomorrow but nah.

Honestly, if you have nothing else on, you might find it rewarding to go. I highly recommend it. Hell, I'm going in tomorrow, and I'm not even entering a new course. :P

trying to enroll for arts/business at caufield. going to info session tomorrow. currently done first 3 steps of enrollment but am stuck on enrolling in units. does this have to be done by tomorrow or can i get advice at the session and do it at home before enrollment day (29th jan)

Pretty sure you don't have to have actual units in until two weeks into semester. You'll be fine to wait until after tomorrow to do it (hell, pretty sure the entire point of tomorrow is to help you pick your units)

Do you guys reckon they'll accept a ATO summary for TFN (as stated on Monash's site) without the receipt from AUS Post Office? As my interview for a TFN is on Thursday and thus I won't have it by tomorrow.

Thanks. :)

You won't be able to get your ID card without enrolling in units. So you'll have to go back on campus to do that again at some later time.

The real question is, what's the deal with the my.monash student portal. There are two many buttons and too much information! It's messing with my little jaffy brain.

Mutts? Moodle?
Sounds more like a dog breeding site than a student portal.

As you do med, MUTTS isn't something you have to worry about given everything is auto-allocated for you.

Moodle is where the course documents and lecture slides will be posted, you'll also have to submit assignments via Moodle. Your units and files will be up there and will stay there for your degree.

I'm so fried after MUTTS :-\ It's been 3 days and I still don't know how to use it. I got a call from Monash telling me to forget about that and just use Allocate+

so whats the deal with textbooks?

You can view them on the my.monash portal (click "View My Booklist" on the side), but DON'T buy them until after semester starts. Often, you don't need your books (yes - even if it says "Prescribed"), so you should wait until a bit into semester before buying them, just to confirm if you really need them or not. I only used one textbook for all of last year, and even then I could've easily gotten the same mark if I didn't use it.

Thanks. :)

It wouldn't be accepted. Just tell them you are waiting on the interview and will provide them with the details ASAP. The TFN's don't need to be in for a few weeks, so if you get them the receipt within a week you will be fine.

p.s. arts/law student chasej reporting in !
