Subject choice query (ANAT and PHYS)

Hey everyone !

Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays.

Just have a question about subject choices. I'm tossing up about whether I should do ANAT20006 in semester 1 and PHYS20008 in semester 2 or ANAT20006 in semester 2 and PHYS20008.

Does anyone have any suggestions, is there any benefit of doing anatomy first and then physiology in the next semester or vice versa ? I've listed my two options down below.

Option 1:

Semester 1:
BCMB20002 - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
MIIM20001 - Principles of Microbiology & Immunology
PHYS20008 - Human Physiology

Semester 2:
ANAT20006 - Principles of Human Structure
MIIM20002 - Microbes, Infections and Responses
PHRM20001 - Pharmacology: How Drugs Work

Option 2:

Semester 1:
BCMB20002 - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
MIIM20001 - Principles of Microbiology & Immunology
ANAT20006 - Principles of Human Structure

Semester 2:
PHYS20008 - Human Physiology[/i]
MIIM20002 - Microbes, Infections and Responses
PHRM20001 - Pharmacology: How Drugs Work

My other subjects are pretty much finalised, just tossing up between ANAT and PHYS. I'm currently enrolled to do ANAT in semester 1 and have received the conformation e-mail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks you ! :)

It shouldn't make much of a difference (because you get the same lecturers), but I would rather put Physiology in semester 1 since the exam is a well-known bitch, as are some of the MSTs. Less stress, come semester 2 exams.

That being said Physiology and Pharmacology have some areas of overlap.

2012 ATAR: 99.20
2013-2015: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Microbiology/Immunology: Infections and Immunity) at The University of Melbourne
2016-2019: Doctor of Medicine (MD4) at The University of Melbourne

I thought the human physiology exam was quite fair :l I do however agree that there were a few tricky questions in both of the midsemester tests. I think option 1 is better because I found that having anatomy and biochem in the same semester was just so much rote learning. Having Physiology and biochem in the same semester is probably better because human phys is based more on understanding/applications (e.g. you will sit there and memorize lecture notes for biochem but read the textbook/lecture notes and complete heaps of practice questions for physioloogy)
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.
2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

Thanks for the insights :)

I might just leave it how it is then (Option 1).
