Question regarding ESD 1 + 2 for a Chemical Systems major

Is it recommended to choose both ESD 1 + 2 leading up to a chem systems major?

I'm also keen on doing Physics 1 during first year, but I have to skip either ESD 1 or 2.
I also read from somewhere that only ESD 1 is needed for chem eng so now i'm quite undecided on what subjects to pick.

ESD2 has no real relevance to ChemEng. You must take ESD1. Depending on your subjects you might be able to push one to second semester and so can take Physics 1.

Thanks for the reply!
Thing is I'm taking calc 1+2 and chem 1+2 for first year so I cant push one to second semester, how relevant is physics 1 to ChemEng? Otherwise I think i'll stick with ESD 1+2

Chem eng student here :)
I did not do physics 1 but looking from the subject overview from the handbook, physics 1 has no relevance to chem eng. If you want to do some physics then physics 2 will be more relevant (fluids + thermal physics).

ESD2 also has no relevance but it's more useful as it is more engineering compared to physics and ESD2 is a fun subject for me.
