Specialist Maths 1/2 (Advanced General Mathematics)

I'm going into Year 11 this year and will be doing Specialist 1/2. I'm working out of the textbook at the moment but am finding a lot of the application questions rather difficult. What can I do to further improve and prepare (in the little time before school starts and over the course of the year)?

Hi Yellow,

Specialist 1/2 is typically quite a number of both 'new' and obscure concepts. The key to Application questions is having a VERY solid understanding of the skills questions. For example if you can do geometry questions with no problem the worded situations will be much easier.

I personally like to re-write the question with only numbers and diagrams. This helps heaps!

Feel free to send me any questions you have in this thread with an image of the specific question :)
