O-week question and clubs

Having been at another uni for my undergrad, I know that signing up for clubs runs mon-thurs, but for melb uni, can I confirm that signing up for clubs is only on thurs & fri? What happens on tues and wed of o week then ?

Correct - club sign up are thurs-fri.

Tuesday is the big carnival, aka lots of freebies. The host program runs on that day, and this is where you're in a group of people in the same course as you and you're paired up with a host (someone in their older years).  More info: http://umsu.unimelb.edu.au/events/oweekcarnival/

And Wednesday is generally the quietest of the week. Most of it is academic talks, but there are pub crawls and BBQs etc.
