So I was basically enrolled in the wrong maths unit sequence for Biomed, I've since corrected my mistake but there are no spots left in any of the tuitorials and theres no option available to join a waiting list. Has anyone faced a similar predicament, whats my best course of action besides contacting the student centre. Thanks in advance Biomed newbie ;)

Contact the subject coordinator as well. Like someone has said before, if you're enrolled in a subject, you WILL get a spot in the class.

Out of curiosity, which subject is it with full tutorials?

I'm one of the tutors for Maths for Biomed (MAST10016) this semester. We've had a record number of enrolments (over 270 students) and the lecture venue is likely to be overcrowded, at least until some students realise that they'd rather stay at home and watch the lectures online ;) There should be adequate tutorials for all students currently enrolled but I understand that no new students are being permitted to enrol in the subject in first semester. I'm not sure of the situation with Experimental Design and Data Analysis.

For first year maths and stats subjects, another good contact is Susan Wilson, the undergraduate tutorial manager. The subject coordinator should also be able to help.

Tutors have been instructed to allow extra students in their classes in the first tutorial only. If you can't get your tutorial sign-up sorted out before the first week of tutorials (that's week one for Maths for Biomed, week two for EDDA), don't panic and just turn up to one of the tutorials anyway. But you do need to be properly signed up for a tutorial because your tutor will be taking your attendance and marking your assignments.

The subject with full tutorials is MAST10011, which is interesting considering there are no more spots availbale in MAST10016. Thanks for the advice I've contacted the tuitorial and subject coordinators so hopefully I hear back soon.

I just switched from MAST10016 to MAST10011 today. At first there were no spots left for the tutorials but when I checked two hours later (around 5pm) , I managed to register for the only timeslot that was available. Hmm try checking it again?
