June 15 to July 18, 2015Global Bioethics Initiative invites students worldwide to attend the International Bioethics Summer School in Manhattan, New York City. Join us for this 5 week one-of-a-kind educational opportunity.

Curriculum
The International Bioethics Summer School is comprised of a series of morning lectures and seminars, evening events with guest speakers, field trips, and film screenings. Please visit the Program page for more details on the lectures and seminars offered.
Faculty
The faculty of the Summer School is comprised of notable international scholars who will lecture and conduct the seminars on bioethics topics of international import. Please visit the Faculty page for more information.
Final Conference Forum
All participants will present their final papers (written under a faculty member’s supervision) at a conference forum during the final week of the program.
Graduate Certificate
Following completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate in Global Bioethics during a graduation ceremony followed by a banquet.
University Credits
Students may request credits from their home institutions. The awarding of credits is at the discretion of each student’s institution. Students may wish to seek financial assistance or scholarships from their home institutions or outside sources to cover expenses.

LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: Candidates whose first language is not English will be called by a member of the Selection Committee by telephone in order to demonstrate competence in spoken English. Please provide a phone number(s) where you may be contacted and indicate your Time Zone. International language certificates may also be accepted as proof of English proficiency/competence.
VISA: Due to visa issues, international participants must apply either early, by March 15 or at the very latest, April 15, 2015. Applications after that date will still be considered, but we cannot guarantee your ability to get a visa on time, so you can defer the attendance for the next year.
Once accepted you will receive a letter of confirmation. You are strongly advised to contact the American Embassy in your country for complete visa requirements as early as possible.
