Easiest Module(s)?

Our school is doing
Business-Related Mathematics
Networks and Decisions mathematics
Matrices

well
I learnt those 3 modules & core over the holidays
Networks & matrices seem pretty easy but I don't like business maths
I'm thinking of doing Graphs and relations instead
I will still have to learn business maths for the SAC but

is it worth learning graphs and relations for the end of year exams?

I am also doing methods and spesh if that makes a difference

"Easiest" is a very subjective term for anything. I've heard many people say they like the business maths module because they found it very applicable and, as a result, easy. However, I know my school didn't choose it because they thought it was the hardest module on offer.

However, as for modules most RELATABLE to methods specialist:

Matrices (however, this module is quite different - but you're doing it with your school anyway, so not an issue)
Graphs and Relations (this steps beyond methods, though - I suggest going through your textbook for this module so you cover it all)
Trigonometry/Geometry (basically, everything you need for specialist covers it, plus bearings)

I would say that if you do want to learn a new module for the end of year exam, do it AFTER you've done the module you don't care about. So, if you want to replace business with graphs, do this after your business SAC and you've got the results. This means you still have to put in a good effort for it, instead of thinking, "well, I'm not going to do well on it anyway, so I'll just learn graphs". Who knows, you might find after you get your results that it's worth continuing to do the business module.

Also, ask your school for their opinion - at the end of the day, they can't change what modules you do in the exam, but they might have stories/resources to help you with the module you want to do instead, and so might be able to help you out.

Personally, I would recommend you stick with the modules that your school has assigned. If you are having difficulty with the Business Maths module, you must understand that selecting an alternative module for the exam is not the solution. Although it may seem desirable, any benefit it will provide for your exam score will be offset by your performance in the Business Maths SAC.

haha I was in the same position when I did further maths. My school replaced trig with business math and damn straight I hated it. But yeah, just like EulerFan101 suggested, once I mastered the business module for my SACs I then went on to learn graphs and relations.

Come exam time and I flicked through all 3 of my modules plus the extra one I studied. I studied each question and saw that I could solve all of them easy...except for the last question in Business maths which was weird, so I neglected that module entirely.
It was nice and certainly an advantage having the freedom to choose which modules would yield the most marks.

But yeah would definetely still try and master the Business module for your SAC, especially if you go to an under represented school. Good luck  ;D
