HP 35s aproved in 3/4 Exam?

Hi people,

I'm looking to get a scientific calculator for physics and in doing so have read that the calculators can't be CAS calc like the Ti and Casio used in the maths exams. Would I be able to use my Hp 35s or do I need to buy a new scientific calc? Are the VCAA examiners likely to check?
