I want to start a bit of a debate now, see what you guys think.

Basically if Adelaide and Richmond get through, do you think it's fair that the game will be played at the MCG even though Adelaide finished first on the ladder? Adelaide have been very poor at the MCG, nearly lost to my mighty pies lol.

Yes I know - every Grand Final has been played at the MCG for so many years.  More $$$$$$$ for AFL if at MCG so that's always a big factor.
But now since the game has grown so much, and it's considered our ''national'' sport, wouldn't you rather see a more fair competition where it's not biased towards Victorian clubs? Whoever finishes higher gets a HOME game regardless.

I am hopeful that the prelims are close... nothing beats a tug-o-war game.

Both have the potential to be really tough, tight games, I think.

Hmm I think in most places you'd get shouted down for this view, but I can see where it's coming from and definitely see the logic.
I was disappointed they played Geelong's finals at the G. That certainly damages the integrity of the finals.

However, the MCG has always been the home of the grand final, and I think that in many ways that tradition is important to the game. Moreover, community out reach is really important, so having the final in Victoria, where footy is most popular, is critical. If you played it at Adelaide, you simply wouldn't get a single supporter in. It'd be all corporate tickets etc

I see your point, and I think it would be fairer, but I think that logistically it's impossible, considering things like tickets, catering, entertainment etc. are prepared for weeks before the game, and therefore the ground where it is being held has to be determined months in advance.

I think it would also be a shame if many people couldn't go to the game because of a smaller capacity ground - it's basically impossible to get tickets as it is.

So happy for the Tigers.

Now that is what you call a prelim!

I am tipping the Crows to win by a very small margin next week.

Hope it's a cracking game today.

ADEL VS GEE (+Dangerfield)

RICH VS GWS/WCE

So excited. What's everyone tips?

I reckon GWS over WCE by 30 today (I want WCE to win).

Then ADEL over GEE by 15 points

RICH over GWS by 5

Then GF: Rich over Adel by 50 points OR Rich choke and lose  ;) ;) ;)
My tips have been good. Margins off though.

Tipping Richmond by 50 over Adelaide on Saturday. However I really do hope it's a cracking match.

That was a nervous brownlow count.. would be spewing if Dusty won it via Dangerfield's ineligibility... glad he won it though outright

I don't understand why he couldn't at least give Howe some sort of credit when he went up and spoke? Like ''Howe's mark was amazing... he may be a bit unlucky'' or even ''I can't believe I won this award it should have gone to Howe'' ... like he 100% knew he didn't deserve it, the room went all silent when his name was called out.

All I can say this probably isn't the first time where he has won an award he doesn't deserve. Joe is used to this sort of stuff. All you need these days is wealth, a famous last name and by the looks of it a porn star moustache to get anything in the world.

Absolute flog.
