What structure would a small business have? One store

Would it contain a more organic, flatter organisational structure? Or could it utilize a hierarchical functional strucutre.

I believe it is the flatter structure as a small business lacks the required employees to utilize a large and costly structure such as hierarchial or beaurocratic.

Is this correct?

Not that you would get the example of a small business as 3/4 business is only on large scale organisations but yes, they would have a flatter organisational structure. With <20 employees, there wouldn't be enough levels of management for a hierarchical structure instead, it would be more like one ceo with the rest of the employees.
