Sorry I don't know how to formally quote bits of the initial post but where you said "By this I mean completely immersing yourself in the period of time you are studying to truly understand the ways of thinking. This can be done by reading philosophical papers and books from that time, as well as watching films and TV shows either set in that era or made within that era." I was wondering if you had any recommendations that really helped you ground your understanding and research for ATB. As you can probably image there is SOO much on the internet that I find it kind of overwhelming not knowing if what I'm reading directly relates to the module, especially if you end up reading the whole thing hoping that maybe at the very end it'll have something, just something relevant you know?
Would it possible for you to list some philosophy papers (because I think that would give new insight into an area I haven't explored enough yet) and any other sources that you found really encapsulated the era. I'm hoping to really get stuck in these holidays and this seems like a great place to start!
Thank you and i'll literally take all the recommendations I can get!

Hey there! You seem super keen for Extension one, I LOVE IT! You'll have so much fun with this course. What are your prescribed texts? What areas are you most interested in? Western? Eastern? Philosophy? Vietnam? Gender? Class?
I wrote a list of related texts I used in the HSC for ATB at different points in the year, this might be helpful for you :)

Of course! English Extension is da bomb ;) . I'm studying Beckett's Waiting for Godot, Ishiguro's AOTFW and Plath's poetry (I will get to reading what you posted on my new thread) and have yet to choose my related texts (will read the appropriate blog post for that too). Since I haven't really honed in on a certain country/decade yet I'm still really open to exploring any of the areas you suggested above. If you have any additional suggestions that you're willing to share I'd be more than happy to check them out!
Thank for all your help this far :)
