Preparation for Methods 3/4

Hello everybody,
I'm currently doing Methods 1/2 in year 10 and expecting to do Methods 3/4 in year 11. I am thinking about preparing for Methods next year, as I would like to get a raw study score of 40+. Furthermore, I would like to ask a few questions:

How big is the leap between Methods 1/2 and 3/4, in terms of difficulty?
What are some topics that are essential to master for 3/4?
Would it be beneficial to complete the 3/4 textbook over the Christmas holidays?

I would appreciate any opinions! :)

In terms of conceptual difficulty, there's hardly any leap.
What are some topics that are essential to master for 3/4?
Know your functions/graphs, inverse functions, domain/range, trig functions/graphs (including solving), differentiation (and applications, such as finding tangents/normals) and basic probability. These are really all the topics you cover in 1/2 which should be mastered.
Would it be beneficial to complete the 3/4 textbook over the Christmas holidays?
I suppose it would, but it's definitely not necessary. I'd probably recommend going ahead in Calculus and Probability -  by the time your class starts these topics, you'd already have finished the course, since these are the last AOSs.

I would appreciate any opinions! :)
