Can't comment on most, but I've heard Sue Michell is a good teacher.

The other thing to consider is whereabouts you go to school.  Generally, choose the one closest to you...

I've heard the mention of the St. Kevin's teacher before so that's the one I can recommend.

Peter Mitchell teaches at my school.
He's supposedly very good although he seems really boring and looks like an uber scientist geek.

I had Peter Skelton for the first half of 2008 (I think he went on leave after that) and he was quite good and amusing. Not everyone in my class agreed though.

I did UMEP maths under James O'Dea (obviously, since I went to St. Kevin's). Great bloke and a great teacher ;) Though doesn't mean you don't still have to work pretty hard - in my class of five, we had three people get over 80 (and two of those were prizes for being in the top three students in the course), one get 50 (so a pass by the barest of margins), and one fail miserably...
In any case, make sure you're not travelling too far for it, otherwise eventually you might lose motivation and just not turn up at all - this happened to the girl in our class (she was the one who failed).

Feel free to ask me about (advanced) mathematics.

i recall enwiabe rated his teacher [at Bialik College] pretty highly, moreso than the teacher who took the subject at Scotch

Ahhh James Angel (Methods/Spec/UMEP maths teacher at bialik) is an absolute gun.

He's written (HAND WRITTEN) about 1000 pages worth of texts on the UMEP course. I have 5 books of his on the various topics that are all handwritten. His text on integral calculus is phenomenal. I still use it when I forget a technique. His knowledge of mathematics would rival some of my lecturers at Monash. He has a real passion for mathematical pedagogy... Unfortunately, my school rarely runs UMEP Maths as so few people want to do it. They would not run it for just one external student. They almost didn't run it for me! Then, unfortunately, he was struck ill with cancer (made a full recovery, though!) and I had to go to Scotch to see out the remainder of the course.

No offense to Jan Honnens at Scotch who teaches the subject there. He's a great teacher, and a great guy, and I still learnt much from him... it's just difficult to compare him to the person who hand-writes 1000 pages on a subject :P Or the man, who, in order to explain the closest distance between two non-intersecting lines in 3-space is when they're at right-angles to each other, nails string to two walls blocking the exit of the chemistry labs while he explains it to me and they also watch on...

best teacher ever :P You know how they say that many people have a teacher in their life who inspires them onto the path that they take? He was that inspirational teacher and COMPLETELY the reason why the $20k per year at bialik was worth it in the end.

Yeah, I agree, she's amazing - I've had her for sem 1 last year and the whole of this year :)
