Bound reference advice

I'm nearly done with the SM course on my own, and I'm beginning to contemplate doing something for a bound reference.
I gave a try at typing it up in Word, but it was pretty hard to draw diagrams and stuff, also writing equations. I'm not too keen on writing it up by hand as I've made detailed handwritten notes already (but in a ring binder).
So I'm interested in any advice on writing a bound reference or simply using a textbook/study guide/etc? What have previous students done?

I wouldn't bother with writing a bound reference from scratch but rather use your bound reference and fill it up with examples of questions you find difficult/challenging or questions you've gotten wrong when doing practice exams/SACs. Those types of questions will be more useful to you than anything else imo though if you've written up detailed handwritten notes (on loose leaf which I believe is what you've done) then you could go to Officeworks and bind them (give a few days notice beforehand though)!

A commercial one is good however you want to be familiar with what's in it first so you know what to consolidate during reading time etc. so if you do go down that path then be well aware of what's in it! :)
