Hear me out and please give me advice..this is gonna sound really weird...

I am in year 12 currently...no year 12 subjects last year so i am new to the stress about performing well in 3/4 subjects.
I did not know what an ATAR/Study score was until this year. Hence in year 11 i ran home and played video games. I always thought i was good at my subjects and needed no study.. in my year 11 exams i scored 100% on History, 98% on English, 98% in Literature...

This current year i realized the importance of doing well, set goals and put my head down to study. The more i study...the worse marks i am getting. I spend 2 hours studying for revolutions a day, end up with a mid A for Unit 3...yet i havent done a prac essay for English and get mid A+ for that. Same for Literature... no practice, reading smalls parts of the text.. yet mid A+ for that.. This sounds weird but the less i study the more i do well. I dont know what to do... i keep studying yet i dont improve in History or Further.. i cant go along with this theory because i am too scared i will blank out on the exam... do i need to study more? or less? ugh decisions

Conventional wisdom suggests that you need study to do well on exams.
But if you're somehow someone who can learn perfectly well from just paying in attention in class and doing extra work outside actually hinders you, then study less :)
