40 in Methods

People can disagree, but i'd say if you truly put in the work and tried your best, then anyone should be able to do so

For a numerical approximation, you'd be aiming at the lower A+ range in terms of SAC and final exams. Just check the Graded distributions: link:

If you go to MHS and your average is B+ and get low A+ for both exams, is 40 possible? Or would you say a 38 ?

It's the rank that counts. From what I hear (don't quote me on this sources may be unreliable), but median at MHS scales to high A, so if you're above the median, then you should be okay.

I got As in my SACs and Exam 2, and A+ in Exam 1, for a 38.  As I highly doubt I got borderline A+ As, or a high A+ in Exam 1, I think with a very high A or two you should be able to make a 40 (I assume of course you're talking raw).  But as always, stressing about the scores isn't the right mindset, instead focus on what skills you're missing and what you need to improve on.  If you're decent at maths, do put in the work, and work 'smarter not harder', you should defs be able to do it.

I would say I'm pretty decent in maths, but my primary downfall is silly mistakes (which I've been finding quite hard to amend)

No. There was a guy who was rank 50-60ish and ended up with 40+
