also, i always get confused whether to use F sin Theta or mg sin theta when F is given, could someone help me with this?

Resolve in this direction $\mathbf {i} : (P - \mu R - mgsin\theta ) = ma$
then this $\mathbf {j} : (R - mgcos\theta ) = 0$
$\implies R = mgcos\theta$

$ma = P - \mu mg cos\theta - mg sin\theta$ (Because you sub for R)
$\therefore a = \frac {P}{m} - \mu gcos\theta - g sin\theta$
