Transferring

Hi all
Just wondering if anybody has any experience in doing a degree at RMIT, completing it then transferring to Melbourne Uni for Masters. How probable is it in happening?  Because Melbourne requires you to achieve 65% in your final 2 years, as well as a 1000 word statement.

The thing is, the Melbourne Uni staff said its very competitive, etc etc. But come on, 65%...seems too easy  :-[

Also, please take into account this is transferring from RMIT--> Melbourne, would that sort of "damage my reputation/chances"

65% is the MINIMUM they are willing to consider.  That doesn't mean they let in everyone who gets 65%, they just CONSIDER people with 65% or more.

Also, 65% at uni is not the same as 65% at high school. Don't think it's too easy before you try.

Anyway, it wouldn't technically be a 'transfer' since you'd be starting a new degree. As for your chances, if you work hard and show that you have relevant skills and experience, you'll be virtually set.

65 is not "easy" unless you are persistent with your work throughout the semester. This is very hard to do in uni compared to school where you have teachers guiding you.
