For fun?

What does everyone think of doing further as an extra subject for fun?
I am expecting it not to take up too much time to learn material, I am going to do it for the fun of more assessment tasks, I know everyone else hates exams but i think they are awesome :coolsmiley:
It will be my fourth maths, but I do not care whether it can count towards my ENTER.

I would like to know what some other people think of this.

it means u will be spending about 5 periods a week(20periods a month, about >100periods a year) sitting in a furthur classroom, whereas without this subject you may be able to use those 5 periods for self study.

I told the teacher 'I won't come to all the classes, because of my other time taxing subjects' exact words.

I was the first person ever to do methods 1+2 in year 10 at my school.
I actually started term 2 after dropping IT, they think I'm genius from
that mindset comes the ability to tell them that and they just accept....

just the fact that you would do this subjct because it is easy is simply revolting.

I don't agree. I reckon 90% of the VCE population take subjects for an ulterior motive. His is because it's easy. Other because they scale. And others again would be because their parents forced them [ and the list goes on ]. Hence the reason why so many kids that do spesh maths also do further. Nothing wrong with that.

I NEVER said i wanted to do it cause it's easy, I actually said because its fun.
I enjoy maths and don't even expect Further to count towards my ENTER score.
The word revolting should be saved for highly offensive situations.....

Well, if you're doing Methods, Specialist AND Extension Maths, then I doubt you'll be finding further "fun". Put simply, it isn't very intellectually stimulating. I did this subject because I thought I could do well in it, and found it pretty dull, but was happy with my result. Personally, I don't see the point in doing Further if you're a good maths students and don't expect it to count in your primary 4.

LOL I had three specialist maths classmates who did further for the exact same reasons as you. At the end of the year they all wanted to blow their brains out.

The fact that you'd make offensive remarks about my display pics for no apparent reason is equally revolting. Can you understand a simple concept such as this? Awesome, if you can!
