Hey guys,

So, I've been hearing a lot in the forums about how RMIT's/Swinburne's courses are really practical a lot of the times when compared to Melbourne/Monash Uni courses.

A lot of people say Melbourne/Monash Uni courses are more theory based while RMIT/other Unis are more practical.

Is this true? If so, in what ways?
I found some links above which seem to suggest that RMIT/Swinburne have programs which make their courses more practical in some ways and I guess more relevant to the workforce as I'm sure everyone knows not everything you learn in uni will probably be used when you go into the workforce. Are these programs not offered at Monash/UoM?

If you are an RMIT/Swinburne how are your uni's courses typically more "practical" than other unis? Does this make the average RMIT/Swinburne graduate more employable than students who study equivalent courses from other unis which may be considered slightly more prestigious?

Thanks,
