unit 3 chem help plz

hey guys
can someone please help me with this?
when copper (2) carbonate is heated it decomposes to copper (2) oxide and carbon dioxide
a) describe what would happen at a molecular level if the container was open
b) describe what would happen at a molecular level if the container was closed

like i know that if it is open substances are able to enter and leave...
