History vs Literature subject selection help

I plan on either going into research (psych) or teaching after undegrad. I have 4 breadth subjects left which is enough to qualify for a learning area in the master of education. I'm slightly stuck because I'd love to be able to teach history and english (as well as psych) but I have to choose between the two and I don't know that much about the subjects taught at unimelb as the handbook isn't very helpful and most of the reviews on here are for science subjects.

I loved learning about the french/russian revolutions as well as wwI/II in high school so I'm drawn to history but at the same time if I choose lit then there are subjects like ENGL20025 Reverberations of Terror: 1789-1900 and ENGL20020 Romanticism, Feminism, Revolution.

Does anyone know which department is better and/or have any experience with subjects in either of these areas? Your input will be gratefully appreciated (:
