I FOR ISOBEL

Hi guys,

I'm in year 12 in 2016, and currently have homework to complete over the holidays for I for Isobel novel.
The question I am stuck on is "how does Isobel relate to other people" or something along those lines.
If anyone has any opinions on this question, help would be greatly appreciated

There is a certain ambiguity to the question, but I think your teacher wants you to analyse Amy's interactions with others: for example, is she open and confident about who she is?

Explore her relationship with her mother...

Does she wear a mask? If so, what is it and why does she wear it? Or does Isobel refuse to sacrifice the truth of who she is?

Does Isobel feel she has interests, views and values in common with the other young women in the boarding house?

Thinking along these lines should get you started.

I think, I speak, I act. Therefore... I create my own reality.
