That said, I wouldn't mind a lo-fi option for this site (stripped of graphics and barebones formatting)...would be handy to easily read/navigate this site on my mobile phone when I'm on the move.

Some people are unable to get broadband due to some stupidity on Telstra's end (aka. pair gain / RIMs).

Optus isn't quite everywhere Telstra is yet!

And some people do live below the poverty line...

i sympathize with you, we only got broadband last year.... oh the pain.... it took like 5 minutes to load hotmail, and est. 10 Hr to download MSN messenger......
