Does anyone rules are with creative writing, how creative it has to be?
I was looking at doing a journal entry/letter by one of the astronauts on the Challenger disaster and I was not sure if this would be creative enough, in regards of, I have used an event that actually happened. The entry/letter that I write will be fake, but I was told by someone in my year that NESA would cut marks for that. Will I be penalised for this?

This sounds totally fine to me provided that it is doing what the stimulus/question needs you to be doing!! The event might be a real-world occurrence but the journal entry is definitely something you have decided on and you will make it your own. Plenty creative enough :)

Heyy!!!
We are doing the CSSA paper for trials soon... should I prepare 2 related texts for AOS or is it not likely that they will ask for 2!!
Also, I'm doing Robert Frost poems -do you think Tim Winton's 'Neighbours' will link with this ok as an ORT?
Thanks heaps ;D

Hey! 2 ORT's is highly unlikely so I wouldn't be preparing for it - On the slim chance they do want two of them, use one from your unseen texts section from the first part of the exam! ;D

And yep, I've not read the text but Elyse raves about Neighbours as an ORT for Discovery ;D

I didn't do The Crucible for Mod C but I would use personification for "postponement now speaks" and "reprieve or pardon must cast doubt", and I'd use metaphor for "crack its voice with whimpering" :)

Also wondering if someone could help me with a speeches question for Mod B? :)

To what extent does the context of a speech contribute to its core ideas and persuasive effect?

I'm thinking of mentioning something about the prescribed speeches continuing to have meaning today, but I'm not quite sure how I'd approach agreeing with the question other than saying certain events (eg Israel-Palestine war, rise of second wave feminism, etc) shaped the speech - how would I use quotes to back this up?

Thanks!!

Hey, I've noticed that all of the lecture slides from the Trial revision series have been uploaded except for english. When can we expect the english advanced slides to be uploaded?

Hi all, for AOS Discovery Essay i am studying Robert Frost and a related text. For the trial essay, would you recommend talking about two of Frost's poems + Related Text or just one to build a strong argument?

Thanks, :D

Hi again, also how many quotes would you recommend to use for an essay to be written in strict 40 min time limit?
Thank You, Kind Regards Mate2425 8)

Hey! I'd recommend using more than one poem to increase the amount of evidence you have at your disposal!

As for number of quotes, it is absolutely quality over quantity. However, I tended to sit around 15-20 quotes depending on the essay :)
