Timetable help

Hi all,
first year science student in the process of choosing subjects/planning timetable. Currently my subjects are as follows: Chemistry 1, Biology of Cells and Organisms, Physics 1:Fundamentals and Introductory Microeconomics.
I am aiming to complete postgraduate study in either medicine, engineering or even some form of commerce, therefore wanting to keep my options open. I also have a passion for maths and am considering majoring in mathematics and statistics. In semester 2 I was going to complete calculus 2, is it recommended that two maths subjects are done in first year for someone wanting to major in maths and stats?
I had tried working calculus 2 into my timetable but found that it was too time consuming so went with microeconomics instead. With no background in physics would choosing calculus 2 over physics 1: fundamentals be detrimental to my aspirations in both medicine and engineering, or can I do a similar physics subject in second semester?
Thanks in advance, any help appreciated

All specialisations in the maths major require the completion of Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra. Doing both of these before 2nd year leaves more options open if you decide to go down this path. Linear Algebra is also available during summer if you can't fit it in 1st year.
