Hi,
I'm currently taking SM 1/2 in Year 11 and I'm finding it quite hard. I think this is mainly because of the fact that many of the topics we've covered assume that you have done Methods 1/2 previously which I haven't.
We have practice test for most chapters and I'm averaging around 40-50%, I don't really study for them though. We've have 3 SACS so far, my latest one was last week and I'm hoping to scrape a 60%. Currently my average for SACs is 85-90% (thank god for a take home holiday SAC assignment).
I go to a school ranked in the 60s which has a pretty strong maths faculty for a public school. I'm not sure what to do, I want to do spesh 3/4 next year but I'm losing confidence. I'm not sure if next year they assume you to have knowledge of methods 3/4 but I'm assuming knowledge of 3/4 calculus will make spesh easier.
Also, I'm doing physics 3/4 right now so learning vectors and kinematic should be alright. But I'm sure they'll cover all of physics 3/4 motion in one exercise of the kinematics chapter sigh.
