Internal Transfer to BComm with SEAS?

I'm currently enrolled in the BSci and is wanting to apply for BComm next semester. However, my atar was 92.95, .05 points short from the minimum atar for the course. I'm aware that the uni also takes the first semester results into account, meaning that better results = better chances.

Just a week before the VCAA exams, something personal happened unexpectedly which affected my studies. At that time the SEAS due date has passed, hence I was unable to submit an application. VTAC stated they were opening SEAS on their mid April intake which is when I'm planning to apply for BComm. My question is - would I have to provide documentation of how the incident affected my studies at that time period? Would my SEAS application still be valid?

Any info regarding this would be great.

Unimelb doesn't require you to go through VTAC for external transfers. You need to submit a transfer application form with the Student Center (i.e. Stop 1). Whilst not too sure about minimum ATARs, I do know for a fact that they will accept you if you are well below the clearly in for your year so long as your results at uni are up to the mark. In regards to your VCAA exams being affected due to personal reasons, I reckon talk to the advisers at Stop 1 about it, as there is likely some way to put that down as consideration in your application form.
