5 subjects down, 5 to go! Very content with everything - especially surprised by Microscopy, which was a terribly vague subject regarding assessment expectations (I must have gotten almost 100% on the take-home, because it wasn't scaled). My 2nd-year botany exam turned out to be the worst - it was far too long, and most people didn't manage to finish it, so I'm very happy with that 91!

Hahahaha you guys flatter me too much. Keep an eye out for zsteve; 4 90+ scores in his first semester of uni? He's going to look more impressive than anything I've done so far.

I'm going to jump in with the obligatory reminder that the scores posted here are crazily skewed, partly because AN has a high concentration of ridiculous nerds, partly because mainly people scoring really well are willing to post.  No, it's not 'the norm' to get all HDs or a couple of mid-90s scores, just like it's not 'the norm' to get 99.95s in VCE.  So please, if you're not scoring so well as the people posting here (i.e. if you're anything like me ), that's okay.

To add to that, everyone has different priorities at uni. I only got those scores because I legit had no life and lived on 5-6 hours of sleep a night. Getting lower scores is perfectly fine if it gets you where you want and you're having fun in the process.

Imo that's an awesome WAM to start sem 1 off with. I'd definitely be happy with that!

Thanks mate. In all honesty, just felt no motivation to study this semester, was so burnt out after year 12 haha. Hopefully next semester will go better. Best of luck with your studies

Getting lower scores is perfectly fine if it gets you where you want and you're having fun in the process.

After my experiences of semester 1, I will be taking this advice on board (as in, I'll try to relax and enjoy life more hahaha)
