Hi are notes for chemistry really important because deciding these holidays to make unit 3 notes?

Notes aren't that important, what's more important is that you understand the concepts and know how to work through the problems.

What I really recommend though is to keep a science sketchbook, where you just take very rough notes and experimenting around with the concepts (I've written in more detail about keeping a science sketchbook in my blog here: http://www.nerdofpassion.com/blog/keeping-a-science-sketchbook). Trying to write a perfect notes will really hinder the flow of studying as you're always trying to write it nice rather than learning the concepts.

I'd rather spend the time to work on problems and learning new things. Notes are meant to help you revise later when you want to revisit the topic, so just note down the important concepts concisely. Usually I save that to the last, but very often I just skip writing notes. You don't have to spend too much time with it.
