Sem1:
Intro Micro
Accounting Reports and Analysis
Principles of Business Law
Accelerated Maths 1

Sem2:
Intro Macro
Intro Financial Accounting
Intro Actuarial Studies
Accelerated Maths 2

...pretty much the 'standard' actuarial pathway for first year...might swap AM with calc2/Algebra if its too much a burden as the commerce subjects are already new material for me to deal with. Also after a high GPA to apply for second year internships so AM isn't the most appealing subject either.

Stretching my 3rd year subjects over the next 2 years because of the maths diploma, so only 3 subjects per semester from now on! Looking forward to spending more time doing extracurricular stuff/work/having free time.

This is very, very similar to my final year :D I did the pharm theory instead of the experimental subject though. You've made the right choice :)

I'd add my subject choices here, but needless to say I don't have any... :(

HAHAHA  :D

Yeah, I decided not to opt for PHRM30008 after reading your review. I've also always been one to enjoy pracs (even in first year chemistry).

Hi, sorry if its breaking rules to bump an old thread and to come out of nowhere. I've searched the subject reviews thread to no avail and this seemed like the best place to ask. I'm having second thoughts about my subject choice for this semester (second year commerce)..

My main issue is deciding between the 2nd year economics electives,  Competition and Strategy, and Sports Economics. If anyone has any experience with those subjects I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm really keen on both of them so I'm having trouble deciding which one to do. It may come down to something as simple as which one is easier to do well in.

In order to get my fourth breadth subject done, I'm enrolled in Public Policy Making. I was also interested if anyone has taken that or has heard anything about it. I'm interested in policy but am wary about taking a 2nd year Politics subject as a Commerce student without the tools Arts students possess. So my main question would be whether the subject is workable as a breadth subject.

Hopefully someone has some insight which could help me.
