is it the teacher's responsibility to be issuing practice exams, or should the student be the one finding them? i love doing practice exams but for most companies (ie, NEAP), you have to pay for them and for each subject that'd be kinda expensive  :-\. my school doesnt provide many resources for exam preparation, hence would it be wrong to ask my teacher to buy them?

As a start, Practice Exams - Where to get them for free?

And yeah, it can't hurt to ask at least, I don't think it's your role to buy them personally.

I don't think it's the responsibility of the teacher to pay for it out of their own pocket. You have to view it from the teacher's perspective. How many students are in your class? If they buy it for you, then they have to buy it for everyone else (so multiply the payment by n students - can be quite costly). I think what you should do is ask if the school can fund it through their budget, as opposed to asking the teacher personally.

In addition - there are plenty of resources (see heidi's post above) that can assist you in obtaining practice exams legitimately for free.

Both. You're in Year 12, you should be starting to take control of your learning :)

Hi! Engage education offers a bunch of practice exams for free, VCAA ofcourse - but if not, you should ask your teacher for past years SAC's for extra preparation?
