Just wondering is anyone knows the link between public relations and advertising. I heard it was because through public relations the business sends it's message along to journalists who may not use all information in their piece. Whereas advertising is direct, and not third party influenced meaning it will enable the business to sell their story direct to the public without important information being extracted.

Is that about right?
