This is the best way in my opinion! It is also worth knowing, for anyone who is browsing this thread, that the notes from the marking centre last year said that students can improve on "referencing texts appropriately instead of relying on unwieldy acronyms."

Weird call - I didn't expect it. But, keep it in mind!

Generally HSC markers don't want to take marks away, so i wouldnt stress. Though it an look smarter to write the words

I always wrote the words too ;) I don't think it's smarter per say, but it does flow a little better in my opinion. Using acronyms in conjunction with other less than ideal choices can culminate in a more difficult read for the marker ;D
