Hey amina_98! Welcome to atarnotes!
1 post = +1 post on your total. Making more posts does not necessarily mean more respect as it goes on the quality (crowd voted if you like) of your posts.
If you are talking about essay marking, than the requirement is generally 15 posts (not points) per essay marked
If you are talking about respect, then it depends on the amount of +'s your posts get. (From memory i think 3+'s on 3 posts equals 1 respect)
If you are talking about anything else, sorry i cant help you :(

Respect is only dependent on the amount of up votes and how they are grouped per post.
