Got an at risk form for attendance - PLEASE HELP!

Hi all.

Ive been really sick for the past few months and my attendance has dropped to 66% for Unit 4 for my psychology class. I checked on compass and my percentages are still above 80%. What will happen? How do I fix this problem? What happens if I get an N for a subject?
I got a medical certificate for three of the days I was alway but it was only because I missed out on two of the SACs. I didnt make a copy to hand it to all of my teachers though...
Im in year 12 as well so I dont want anything major to happen and Im freaking out because this is the first time I got an at risk form :(

Thanks

The school can fail you for not rocking up, my school did that to one kid who otherwise would have got an ATAR.

All VCE units require 50 hours of class time. A student needs to attend sufficient class time to complete work. The school sets minimum class time and attendance rules. If a student has completed work but there has been a substantial breach of attendance rules and the school therefore wishes to assign an N to the unit, the school must assign an N for one or more outcomes and thus the unit.

If I were you I'd talk to your VCE co-ordinator ASAP and have some letters from your treating doctor explaining your situation. Doctors are legally not allowed to back-date NEW medical certificates, but if they wrote one for you previously and you need more copies you should be able to get them. Although if you've been sick for months and only have a certificate for a few days, that's not ideal. Either way, let your VCE co-ordinator in on what's going on and what measures you've taken to stay on top of things etc.

Also, if you're well enough now, start rocking up to school :P

wow how little did he come to school? i know definitely at a certain select entry school there are kids who regularly wag school to go to tutoring during the day and would not go to most of the classes (maybe like 60% but at the time it seemed alot less LOL). maybe they would get marked off anyway or maybe the school just enforces the 50 hour minimum rule because ~50min periods x 5 classes a week x 40 weeks a year  = 10,000  then divide by 60 to make it in hours and thats 166 hours a year so if you only go to 1 third of classes its still over 50 hours

anyway yeah to the op: talk to your co-ordinator
